Rubygems Certificate Verify Failed Specific problem with RubyGems The particular case of RubyGems (the command line tool) is that it requires to bundle inside of its code the trust certificates, which allow RubyGems to establish Ssl_connect Returned=1 Errno=0 State=sslv3 Read Server Certificate B: Certificate Verify Failed I created a new file called root-r1.pem inside the folder C:\Ruby23-x64\lib\ruby\2.3.0\rubygems\ssl_certs and then copy/pasted the following GlobalSign Root R1 certificate (click "View Base64").

Edit: I did read the entire background and problem, but I might be missing something, since i'm just a designer trying to set this stuff up on a Windows machine so But with a new installation of Ruby on a new machine I am having this issue: Steps: (1) Install Ruby 2.2.1 on Windows 7 x64. Member drbrain commented Nov 27, 2013 The easiest way to upgrade is to fetch the latest version, Unpack it into a directory and cd there. Release multiple versions of any software in a short span of time and be very time sensitive is highly complicated. Wonder why that was not being fixed in the installer in the first place for Windows. Thank you!
