Inserted them into an external hard drive on another computer, deleted the entire partition and recreated on both drives. Big thanks to Christian Dickmann (Tech Lead on the VSAN Engineering team) for providing this little tidbit. I spent hours on this and can't figure it out. I was then able to create a VMFS5 datastore immediately.Much easier!
