the first time the recovery console was loading it stopped and gave me this error message - File\i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded. I am attempting to reformat a PIII machine and install WIN2000 using a win2000 install disk. Trying to do anything before I go buy a new harddrive. Well they ended up sending us the wrong disc. That takes a while to do. Drive wasn't reading OS to try to Repair, so was told needed a new drive.

I'm betting that E is your CD drive on boot up and because E is normally you hard drive you cant find it. Turns out it was a problem with the DVD-ROM.
