FWIW I usually do a board inspection, and then power the thing up and set all the BIOS stuff, than plug the board with a floppy and do a memory test, I read somewhere that if I touch the outside of the box I basically remove any threat of static that I might cause. Several functions may not work. It just keeps saying at the bottom of the IMGBurn screen that "Device not ready (medium not present-tray closed)" So I either have to download a different IMGBurn from that site https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/318729
