My laptop was cluttered and slow, so I opted to just reinstall Windows 7 completely. Install a new copy of IKernel engine which can be sourced from here. Installing correctly reboots PC and after that did not continue with events which were supposed to be done. There are several possible causes.

My solution is replace iKernel.exe to the following path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Engine\6\Intel 32 then the installshield work again. The ikernel file could still be in memory if you have just finished installing an application. I worked as an administrator.
