I have googled all over the internet and tried the following "solutions" which did not work: 1) I added the external site to local Intranet and added the external server as http://www.technipages.com/disable-publisher-could-not-be-verified-messages This should disable the "Publisher Could Not Be Verified" messages from appearing for that file type in the future.
