Re Thunderbird it is free and in my opinion more secure than OE, its relatively simply, but like any "New" program there will be a learning curve. There are a bunch of nasty bugs in Outlook Express that can leave you open to attacks from specially formatted emails -- with or without attachments. Found that I can create a new folder and move or drag and drop to it and then delete the new folder but also not desirable. I use it also. No, create an account now. Also, I had CallingID link verifier installed, which always worked fine but when I just tried to upgrade, the new version could not register itself and I am thinking it is
