If the updates you downloaded caused the problem, not saying they did or not, everyone would be best served, if you contacted Microsoft and let them know your experience. Our tech support ran a full hour memory test on the machine and it passed with flying colors. My thinking is if the update caused the problem I would be expecting a fix.
